There’s nothing like the Christmas season. While some people spend weeks looking forward to the big day itself, I absolutely love the traditions and celebrations that lead up to it – like finding the perfect Christmas tree! Whether you prefer to cut down your own tree or pick a pre-cut beauty, the time spent at a Christmas tree farm should be just as much about making memories as bringing home a tree. Here are some of my favorite Houston Christmas tree farms perfect for establishing as part of your family’s Christmas traditions!

Spring Creek Growers

Spring Creek Growers has been growing beautiful Christmas trees on their family farm for over 100 years. For the last 30, they’ve been welcoming other families in to make new traditions and memories. You can visit to cut down your own fresh Virginia Pine or Leyland Cypress tree or pick a pre-cut Frasier Fir. While you’re there, take a hayride on an antique tractor, visit with friendly barnyard animals, and be sure to visit the historic farmhouse to pick up treats like hot cocoa, spiced cider, homemade gifts, and freshly baked goods. (Sidenote: this is one of my favorite spots for family photos, too!!)
Old Time Christmas Tree Farm

Old Time Christmas Farm has over 40 acres of Christmas trees planted on their family farm. They have everything you need to cut down your own tree, or you can pick one that’s been specially chosen and already cut down for you. On weekends during the Christmas season, your family will love their bounce houses, train rides, and even pictures with Santa!
Trinity Tree Lot

Trinity Tree Lot makes finding the perfect fresh Christmas tree for your home as easy as possible. All of their trees are sourced from North Carolina and hand-picked for their health, color, and fullness. Visit their lot to pick out your tree and have it hand-delivered to your door. When the season is over, they’ll come pick it up and recycle it for you, too!

The Scott family has been growing Christmas trees since 1992 and welcoming families to their farm for 27 years. Their home-grown Virginia Pines thrive in the Texas heat and will make the perfect addition to your home during the holidays.
