If you ever find yourself saying, “I could really use a spa day,” you’re certainly not alone! Between busy parents, brides-to-be, and expectant moms, I think it’s safe to say that there are plenty of us out there that could use a little self-care—and lucky for us, Houston has its fair share of tranquil, relaxing spas perfect for a day (or even just an hour) of rest and relaxation. Scroll through this blog post to find some of my favorites, and if you need me, I’ll be booking my next massage at one of these spas in Houston.
My Spa Joy is a wellness-centered massage and facial spa that offers massages (of course), microneedling, dermaplaning, body scrubs, and facial peels. They also offer HydraFacials, a cross between a traditional chemical peel and hydrabrasion, using a personalized set of serums to leave skin feeling fresh, rejuvenated, and not scaly like with usual chemical peels. My Spa Joy also has complimentary valet parking to leave you feeling like a VIP, and they’re open seven days a week, with walk-ins welcome.
Trellis Spa is located inside Houston’s The Houstonian Hotel. They feature a full-service spa offering massages, facials, hand, foot, and body treatments, and the previously mentioned HydraFacials. Not only that, but if you’re feeling like getting glammed up, there is a comprehensive salon with hair, makeup, and waxing packages. Perfect for date night! And if you’re looking to make spa day a girl’s day, you can rent one of their cabanas in the Soaking Pools and Garden to enjoy the most of your soaking and spa experience.
Blossom Massage is an expert in advanced massage therapy and is perfect for couples’ massages, prenatal massage, therapeutic pain management, or just a simple relaxation massage. They’ve been practicing since 2007, and in addition to massage, they offer European skin care treatments, acupuncture, and specially curated wellness products. The atmosphere is cleansing and inviting, and their outdoor spa retreat features a heated pool with a spa, sauna, and hot tub to meet all of your relaxation needs. The spa is an easy add-on to any of their massage or wellness treatments, but there’s also the option to skip straight to the spa, which is open seven days a week and year-round.
Skin Day Spa specializes in the latest and greatest state-of-the-art facial treatments in their soothing and tranquil Houston space. Their treatments are medical grade and include services like intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy, aka photo facials, Botox, Xeomin, fillers, Platelet Rich Plasma therapy, derma peels, IV therapy, and so much more! I would strongly encourage you to check out their website for their vast array of services—I’m sure you’ll find something that’ll make you feel pampered!
The Heights Retreat Salon and Spa is definitely a one-stop shop to make you feel relaxed and beautiful. Their full-service spa offers massages, body treatments, and skincare, while in their salon, you can receive a mani-pedi, eyelash extensions, waxing and threading, and even hair and makeup. Guest reviews on their site gush over how friendly and welcoming the staff are and also have immense praise for its affordability.
I feel calmer already just thinking about having a spa day! But these spas in Houston promise to leave you feeling like a goddess. So be sure to stop by them today and get the treatment you deserve!
